Chiropractic Care 

Chiropractic care includes Dr. Young's long list of techniques. Gentle contacts and manipulations are performed in specific sequence to ease the bones of the spine back into proper position. This realigning of the spine relieves obstruction of the nerve system, returns the body to a natural state and alleviates pain.

Allergy Testing

We provide several allergy tests to assist in the diagnosis of food allergies and sensitivities. Our most common and extensive is a Comprehensive Food Panel that includes 96 foods. Immune reactions can result from different types of food sensitivities you may possess.

Food sensitivities are divided into two major categories. The first is immediate food reaction. Immediate food reaction is a fixed food allergy. The food to which you are allergic will almost always provoke an immune reaction when ingested...ie hives, anaphilactic shock, rash. The second major category of food sensitivity is delayed food reaction. Unlike immediate food reaction, delayed food reaction is not a fixed food allergy. It is cyclical in nature. This means if you increase your intake of one particular item in which you are sensitive to, your symptoms would appear more drastic.

Due to the fact that delayed food reaction symptoms can appear up to three days after the food is eaten, some patients remain unaware of the food to which they are sensitive. Some people may be ill and have no idea that their symptoms are allergy-related. And as always with any medical concern, accurate clinical information as well as close consultation and planning with your provider are the only ways to assure the best and most appropriate care for you.

Internal Care 

Internal care is simply looking at the body as a whole and deciphering all of the components to correct problem areas. Offered services to assist with this are blood panels which help us find your deficiencies. We also offer allergy testing (food, chemicals, inhalants). All results are considered before any suggestions are made. Most issues are corrected by exercise, diet corrections, and taking vitamin supplements that focus on what your body is lacking.

Therapy Offered

Therapeutic ultrasound is a form of deep heat therapy created by sound waves. When applied to soft tissues and joints, the sound waves are a form of micro-massage that help reduce swelling, increase blood flow, and decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms.

Muscle stimulation therapy uses light electrical pulses that are transmitted to specific areas of the body through electrodes placed on the skin. There are many different types of electrical stimulation. Some are more beneficial for pain relief or to reduce inflammation, some for muscle spasm, and some actually cause muscles to contract in order to reduce muscle atrophy. Some have combination effects.

In our office, it is very common to couple the ultrasound and muscle stimulation therapies as one. This allows for a very soothing and relaxing therapy.
